NEW RELEASE - APRIL 2026

Private Age
Verification,
Now on iPhone

Prove you're over 18 in Safari or Chrome — without sharing any personal data. Tracking is structurally impossible: nothing leaves the device.

Zero-Knowledge Proof (ZKP) age verification, running natively in Safari and Chrome, both on iOS and Android.

Watch a real age verification flow — initiated in Safari on iPhone, completed in seconds, with zero personal data transmitted to the verifier. The result: a single yes/no confirmation that the user is over 18.

WHY THIS MATTERS

The problem with age verification today

01

Current checks expose everything

Scanning a driving licence hands over your full name, home address, date of birth, and document number — all to answer a single yes/no question. That data gets stored, often indefinitely.

02

ZKP answers the question — nothing else

Zero-Knowledge Proof cryptography lets a user prove a statement ("I am over 18") is true without revealing the underlying data. The verifier receives a yes or no. That's all.

03

Works on the device everyone already has

Scytáles brings ZKP age verification to both major mobile platforms — available free on the App Store and Google Play, running natively in Safari and Chrome without additional configuration.

THE USER FLOW

Five steps. One result.
Zero data leaked.

1

User visits age-gated site

In Safari or Chrome on iPhone and Android. No app switch, no special setup.

2

Verification request issued

Site sends a ZKP challenge via standard browser API.

3

Scytáles Wallet activates

User selects their mDL credential. Multi-wallet selection supported.

4

Proof generated on-device

Cryptographic proof created locally. No data transmitted to any server.

5

Verifier receives: ✓ Over 18

A single boolean confirmation. Nothing more is shared.

TECHNICAL DEPTH

Built for the standards community

mDL compliance & multi-wallet support

Scytáles implements the ISO 18013-5 mobile Driving License standard and is designed for real-world deployment conditions — including scenarios where a user holds mDL credentials across multiple wallets simultaneously.

The multi-wallet flow uses a "best-effort" device engagement approach optimised for iOS constraints, ensuring the user is always presented with their Scytáles credential as an explicit, informed choice — not an invisible background selection.

Single-attestation flows are also fully supported, covering the majority of production relying-party deployments today.
